She thought I was Tracie.  Weird because my friendly name showed up on every response.  No matter what I said she still kept trying to make the sale.

The Hangman

One of my firsts and one of my favorites.  Amy played along so well.  I wasn't sure where I was going with these so this one may look a little different from later works.

I previously received a couple of JetBlue reservation confirmations from Travis' assistant, Zoe so I already had a good mental picture of him.  JetBlue even sent me a survey for one of his flights.  I was happy to fill it out.  Too Bad I didn't save it.

I was talking to your mom, and of course mentioned the painting because I haven't been able to (or wanted to) get its image out of my mind.  I didn' t follow up because I felt like i couldn't make even a respectable offer, considering the price in the gallery.   Tell me what you will take for it and i will see if i can get close to the number, even if I have to pay you you in two installments …one now and one in a post-dated check for a month from now if that works for you.  Lets see if we can work it out.  That piece pulls at me for one reason or another….perhaps if I have years to look at it, I'll figure out the answer (ha!)

I can see the Basquiat influence, or perhaps it's a simplified version of Dekoenig's style…what's  the medium you used for this piece? And the size?  Since I can't seem to find Travis and the original Hangman perhaps I'll consider 'Hangman 2' !  However, I do think this image has been done many many times before, but never quite like this…and if we tell the world it is great ar they are bound to believe us.

LOL.  Thanks for being such a good sport Amy   Sorry to have misled you.  Unfortunately I don't have an email for Travis although I have received some email sent to my address by accident.  The only other information I have is from a Jet Blue email last year where Travis and Zoe were booked on a flight.  I'm not sure if you have any contact with Zoe.  She may be more help.  Take care Amy.  I hope you get in touch with Travis.
